The closest boat stop is Rialto and, through a nice 10 minutes walk, there is San Mark`s Square with its artistic beauties and the typical cafes. The Rialto area is quite lively and in an ideal position, being in the middle of the Island. It was was the first site to be inhabited by the first Venetians.
